Sorry I haven’t updated in a while, I’ve been burnt out a lot and gotten sick, but really that shouldn’t be an excuse.

I’ve been trying to figure out how to say it, so I’m gonna say it.  Let’s Ask Violet will be ending.  There are about 2 more arcs left in the story, and then she’ll be done.  I don’t know for sure when she’ll be ending, since my work schedule has taken a nose-dive, but I’m going to work hard to try and make sure that Let’s Ask Violet will end in a way that is satisfying and leaves minimal loose ends.

Until then, thank you everyone for reading, and I hope you finish this journey with me.

Well, for those of you who know me through Blue in the Face Movie Talks, you’ll know that I haven’t updated that site in quite a while.  There are multiple reasons for this, but the main reason was because I had lost the passion to continue reviewing movies.  Editing would take too long, I was trying to change the style when I had clearly established how I would review movies, and I just got tired of being the angry reviewer.

Well it’s been about 2 years since then, and now I’m itching to start doing movie reviews again.  I’m just not sure if it’s a good idea.  I’d like some opinion if I should reboot Blue in the Face.  I’d reboot the whole thing, including how the reviews are made and written.  Right now I’m getting some ideas on how to update the website and trying to figure out the first review.

Hopefully I will start up again soon with Blue in the Face.  I really did enjoy talking about movies.

Aand we’re back to Michelle being a ditz.

By the way, Ashley is making that face because she knows the reason why Violet is single.  To be honest, I wanted this arc to happen around Valentine’s day, but I decided that developing Tyler’s crush was more important.

Ah well.  Onto the next awkward conversation!!

Every time I look at this, I regret not making Violet go all Liam Neeson from Taken.

“I may not be the most knowledgeable with LGBT relationships. In fact, I don’t know what would happen in one.  But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you break up with Ashley now, that’ll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you break her in any way, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you.”

But then again, that seems a little too violent even for Violet.

Oh yeah, for anyone who’s noticed, yes, I did change the font of the comic.  I’m trying to find one that meshes more with the strip, so I’m sticking with this one for now.

To be honest, this is where I think I’ve added a little too much of myself into Michelle.  Sometimes I act really ditzy because I think that’s how people think I should act at that moment, when in real life I’m not that stupid.

Then again, I still think she’s acting like a ditz because really, why would you think that’s a good idea?

I’d like to be clear, Michelle isn’t actually based on a certain person I know.  A lot of the people in this comic actually are, but Michelle is the only one who isn’t.  I don’t think I’ve known someone to be this weirdly complex like Michelle, where sometimes she’s smart, but other times she’s completely a ditz.  It’s a little difficult, since I can’t really judge on how far I can stretch Michelle’s character without breaking it.

This arc is semi-autobiographical in the sense that a friend from college actually did start dating a childhood friend of mine.  This wasn’t exactly how I took it, but this is funnier.
