I agree with the concept that DarkMyster put forth. Mind you, had Malcolm been introduced as a whimp, the situation would be different. There is such a thing in men as a set of rules that govern our reactions. Same as women. It is written in our DNA thanks to history. Because of these rules, this situation is typical and we understandably root for Tyler. As guys, we got each others backs. If Malcolm came in Pease, he should have asked Bill if it was a good time to see Violet, not just spurt out that he is coming. In doing so, he, possibly intentionally, sparked chaos within the men in Violet’s life all to appear as the Victim. As for Tyler being at work, location is omitted from the mind in a situation like that. Comes from the old days when you found a tiger in your house.
Where I differ from DarkMyster, men should never NEVER apologize for defending our loved ones. It’s our role and apologizing is demasculating.
